On 14th April 2025, representatives from Kedah Agro Ausin Berhad made a significant stop at the Marine Economic Science and Technology Innovation Highland, located within Fuzhou Software Park.

This forward-looking innovation hub plays a key role in integrating marine industry development with digital technology, research, and entrepreneurship. During the visit, the Malaysian delegation was introduced to various cutting-edge marine economic solutions, including smart fisheries management systems, marine resource mapping platforms, AI-powered logistics, and sustainable ocean infrastructure planning tools.

The visit offered valuable insights into how Fuzhou is fostering collaboration between government bodies, tech enterprises, and research institutions to build a digital marine economy. The delegation had the opportunity to engage with key innovators and explore how data-driven tools are being used to optimise the seafood supply chain, promote marine biodiversity protection, and enhance decision-making in marine spatial planning.

Interactive presentations and technology showcases allowed the group to better understand how such models could potentially be adapted to suit Malaysia’s context—particularly in modernising port infrastructure, improving marine data integration, and encouraging private-sector innovation.

This engagement underscored the growing importance of cross-sector collaboration and digital transformation in the global marine economy. It also highlighted areas of mutual interest between Malaysia and China in pushing forward blue economy initiatives that are both economically viable and environmentally sustainable.
