On 21st April 2025, Kedah Agro Ausin Berhad (KAAB) visited Hainan Blue Granary Technology Co., Ltd., a prominent player in offshore aquaculture technology in China. The visit aimed to better understand the company's experience in managing large-scale offshore aquaculture systems using high-density polyethylene (HDPE) cages, with approximately 60 units currently in operation.

During the engagement, the Blue Granary team provided in-depth briefings and technical explanations on their offshore cage management approach—including their strategies in fish health monitoring, feeding systems, cage design, and operational challenges at sea. These insights offered a valuable perspective into the technical and logistical aspects of running sustainable offshore aquaculture.

The visit also featured a knowledge-sharing session, where both parties exchanged views on aquaculture development, technology adoption, and potential collaboration. As a result of this meaningful exchange, Hainan Blue Granary Technology Co., Ltd. has been identified as a potential technical advisor for KAAB’s upcoming offshore aquaculture project in Langkawi, Malaysia, set to launch in June 2025.
