On 16th April 2025, Kedah Agro Ausin Berhad (KAAB), together with representatives from Lembaga Kemajuan Ikan Malaysia (LKIM), recently led a delegation to Xiamen Ocean Vocational College, marking a significant effort to foster bilateral collaboration in marine science and aquaculture technology. This visit, which took place just before the departure of the LKIM Chairman, highlighted the commitment of both parties to explore innovative solutions for sustainable marine development.

The delegation was warmly received by the college’s academic and technical teams, who provided an in-depth tour of key facilities. Among the highlights were the marine research laboratories, which showcased advanced work in marine biodiversity; the aquaculture monitoring and control center, where real-time data systems are used to optimize farm management; and the seahorse cultivation facility, an impressive initiative combining species conservation with commercial potential.

Throughout the visit, discussions focused on 14 advanced technologies identified for potential transfer and adaptation in Malaysia. In addition to the technology dialogue, both parties also explored the possibility of sending Malaysian students to Xiamen Ocean Vocational College for training and academic exchange. This initiative aims to build future-ready talent equipped with practical skills and global exposure in the field of marine and aquaculture science.
